Impeachment Now

Tell your rep: We need emergency impeachment proceedings!

Citizens’ Impeachment is an organization that connects American citizens with a single goal: to get the U.S. Congress to impeach Donald Trump, convict him, and remove him from power. The organization was co-founded by a former senate staffer who worked inside the legislative branch during both impeachments, and Keira Havens, who is a United States Air Force veteran, a former scientist, and a longtime political activist.

Citizens' Impeachment is not the only group working to educate citizens and push Congress to hold this criminal regime accountable. The Friends Committee on National Legislation determined in 2021 that "The Impeachment Process is Imperative to Preserve our Democracy." Free Speech for People is spearheading an Impeach Trump Again.  Texas Rep. Al Green introduced articles of impeachment in December. On April 6, Connecticutt Rep. John Larson introduced articles of impeachment based upon those drawn up by Ralph Nader and Bruce Fein.

On Wednesday, April 8 from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Ralph Nader and Bruce Fein Present: Expert Legal Symposium on Impeachment and the Meaning of “Bribery, or other High Crimes and Misdemeanors.”  This program will be streamed on YouTube at The Real News Network, Jessica Denson's (The Removal Coalition) YouTube channel, and the YouTube and Facebook page of Free Speech for People.

Ralph Nader, the legendary Consumer Advocate, and Constitutional lawyer and scholar Bruce Fein will hold a symposium at the Rayburn House Office Building on April 8th, 2026. This event will feature eminent legal scholars and activists discussing matters related to impeachment.

This event will begin with opening statements by Ralph Nader and Congresswoman Rashida Tlaib (pending confirmation) arranged into three panels:

Panel 1: President Trump’s usurpation of the congressional war power conferred by Article I, section 8, clause 11 exemplified by his gratuitous, ongoing, criminal war of aggression against Iran.Moderator: Theresa Amato. Speakers: Rep. Dennis Kucinich, Doug Bandow, Jeffrey Sterling

Panel 2: The credible fear that President Trump will obstruct, interfere with, or outright cancel the 2026 midterm elections unless impeached and removed from office.Moderator: John Bonifaz. Speakers: Bruce Fein, Oliver Hall, Jared DeMarinis

Panel 3: President Trump’s industrial scale bribery and extortion exemplified by auctioning pardons, demanding free legal services to escape government retaliation, and conferring government favors or benefits in exchange for unlawful donations to Mr. Trump’s sprawling business empire or pet projects like the White House ballroom.Moderator: Prof. Jack Rakove. Speakers: Prof. Alan Morrison, Rob Weissman, Isabel Munilla (pending confirmation)

These expert, bipartisan panelists – including former Congressman Dennis Kucinich, the Cato Institute’s Doug Bandow, POGO Executive Director Isabel Munilla, Maryland State Administrator of Elections Jared DeMarinis, whistleblower Jeffrey Sterling, and more –  will lay a firm legal foundation for potential future impeachment proceedings including preliminary “shadow hearings” on impeachment. This event is co-sponsored by RootsAction, Free Speech For People and Essential Information.
