Call for Science, organize against the Great Dismantling

"We need you--every single one of you-- in the US to stand up, right now, and fight for NSF, NIH, USGS, NASA, USDA. Agencies Congress empowered to serve the public with impactful science and innovation. This is not a drill. This is our last stand. After this, there will be nothing left to fight for. 

"Every single one of you reading this have benefitted from publicly funded science in a thousand ways.

"This cannot be the end. Carl Sagan called science a "candle in the dark." It is up to all of us to make sure that candle does not go out.

"They are terminating STEM education grants -- the grants that help you and your kids get access to a better and more effective learning experience. They are terminating grants that help everyone access careers in STEM, regardless of race or ability.

"They are stealing from you. Don't let them."

"National Science Foundation staff were told today that the agency’s 37 divisions—across all eight directorates—are being abolished and the number of programs within those divisions will be drastically reduced." from Science Magazine
