"We need you--every single one of you-- in the US to stand up, right now, and fight for NSF, NIH, USGS, NASA, USDA. Agencies Congress empowered to serve the public with impactful science and innovation. This is not a drill. This is our last stand. After this, there will be nothing left to fight for.
"Every single one of you reading this have benefitted from publicly funded science in a thousand ways.
"This cannot be the end. Carl Sagan called science a "candle in the dark." It is up to all of us to make sure that candle does not go out.
"They are terminating STEM education grants -- the grants that help you and your kids get access to a better and more effective learning experience. They are terminating grants that help everyone access careers in STEM, regardless of race or ability.
"They are stealing from you. Don't let them."
