This is a special before-broadcast screening of the new American Masters film about filmmaker/playwright icon Luis Valdez!
Join PBS Wisconsin, UWL’s Latin American Student Organization (LASO), and the Rivoli for a special before-broadcast screening of the new American Masters film about the filmmaker/playwright icon Luis Valdez! A founding figure of the Chicano Movement, Valdez is best known for his play Zoot Suit, the Ritchie Valens biopic La Bamba and the theatre company El Teatro Campesino.
At the event, we’ll also get to know the LASO, hear from students involved, and learn about some of the can’t-miss community events they have planned!
The theater doors open at 7 p.m. and the program begins at 7:30 p.m.
