Vets Fighting Fascism

 

On Veterans Day, veterans and allies from across the country will gather in Washington for a peaceful, lawful national action in support of constitutional government, lawful election results, and the rule of law.

The Veterans Day Democracy March is being organized through the Unite for Veterans Coalition, with Veterans Fighting Fascism, VALOR Media Network, National Security Leaders for America, and other coalition partners helping mobilize veterans and allies across the country.

Busboys and Poets and Ralph Nader present Galvanizing Labor Day for a Workers’ Compact, a discussion of how unions can maximize the impact of Labor Day to mobilize workers and voters ahead of the 2026 midterm elections and afterwards.

Speakers Include:

• Ralph Nader, Consumer Advocate, lawyer, and author (live via streamyard)
• Damon Silvers, Visiting Professor of Practice in Labour Markets and Innovation at University College London’s Institute for Innovation and Public Purpose (IIPP) and former Director of Policy and Special Counsel for the AFL-CIO (live via streamyard)
• Robert Reich, UC Berkeley Professor and former United States Secretary of Labor
• Gene Bruskin, Labor Activist and founder of Labor Network for Ceasefire
• Chris Townsend, Former United Electrical Workers (UE) Washington representative and founder of the Labor Organizing School

Wisconsin Grassroots Network (WGN), created in 2008 by Mazomanie's Nate Timm, is an all-volunteer organization dedicated to nurturing the grassroots, keeping Wisconsin's democracy healthy, and joining activists together on common ground. This newsletter is one way we keep in touch with grassroots groups across the state. Our annual Grassroots Festival brings them together for learning, networking, and support.
