Thursday - public meeting about dangerous railroads!

Just heard on WXOW news: On Tuesday, September 8, there will be a public meeting about dangerous trains criss-crossing our community at LOGAN MIDDLE SCHOOL AUDITORIUM. The meeting will start at 7 p.m.

As reported earlier, there will also be a meeting on Thursday, September 10 at the Onalaska Omni Center beginning at 7 p.m.

About one quarter of La Crosse residents and businesses lie within a rail BLAST ZONE. If an oil train blows up, as has happened several times just in the last couple of years, those of us in the BLAST ZONE will either be incinerated or, at the very least, have to evacuate our homes with very little notice or support (it took two years for the victims of the Lac Mégantic oil bomb train to be compensated).
