If you can't make it to the official Madison event, come to the corner of West Ave S and Jackson Ave
in La Crosse on March 7 at noon for a visibility event to support
science and scientists, research and health care, science education, and
more! Stay for a few minutes or an hour.
Parking is tight near here. Best bets are somewhere along the bus route (park & ride the MTU Circulator or #1 bus) or the side streets (11th & 13th) south of the intersection.
Bring a sign in support of science, scientists, health care providers, researchers, educators, etc. and in support of public science - NIH, NOAA, NSF, NIEHS, NIAID, CDC, NASA, EPA, NPS, USDA, and more.
From a friend:
Representative Derrick Van Orden claims that DOGE is "taking steps to reduce the number of unelected bureaucrats." - Do the people in this article sound like "bureaucrats" to you???
