The Friends for Refuge Mississippi River Pools 7&8 is starting an advocacy group to support our Refuge and staff during these times of decreasing federal staff, slashing budgets, closing of offices, and privatization of public lands. We want to bring environmental groups together for our collective concerns around environmental cut backs of funding.Join us on Wednesday, May 14 at 7 p.m. at the Concordia to connect and amplify our efforts, learn about the issues, and strategize for future actions.
Local environmental groups will table. Local experts will speak. There will be time to network, too.
